Do you remember when forums were good, and you could actually get some good conversation time in with intelligent people about the topic of discussion? Well I DON'T!

Forums suck! They are now a place where people constantly agree with each other on things that don't even matter, and heaven forbid you disagree with them, because the forum hive mind will rain down upon you like raptors on defenseless pray, tearing you apart with non-nonsensical arguments that have little to nothing to do with the argument itself. And so help you if you actually win one of these arguments, Because then, WHAM!! Banned for life! This is all so that they can protect their right to be right, and your right to be wrong no matter how much sense you make. KEEP YOUR EGOS IN CHECK!

Cloudkirby anime review: PPGZ

It seems to me that adding Z to the end of things Is a popular trend in anime culture. Somehow Z seems to make everything a whole lot better...in an alternate universe! In this one, however, Z seems to make things a whole lot worse. PPGZ is a good example of this.

Before I go into how udderly bad this is, let me talk about the origional Powerpuff Girls. The Powerpuff Girls was an americain cartoon from the 90's, the premise of which was a laughing riot. Three super powered kindergarden girls beating up the manliest of bad guy men. It was hilarious and very entertaining. Ranks third on my "Top cartoons of all time" list. (just below the simpsons at 2 and animaniacs at 1) The hilarious villans and unintentionally funny diolaugue only added to the greatness. So adding Z at the end should make it way better, right...WRONG!!

Z makes the first mistake by placeing the series in the future, after the origional PPG. Professor Utonium is now experementing with chemical Z (Ah, I see what you did there japan) in Tokyo city and has a son out of @#$%ing nowhere. Anyway, random events happen (I wasn't paying attention) and suddenly it explodes into a light dark scenario. The dark effects the bad guys while the good effects three teenage(mistake 2) girls who are not related in any way(mistake 3) and the effects don't show untill they put on power armour(mistake 4).

What sickens me the most are the bad guy changes. let me run them down.

Fuzzy lumpkins: Country bumpkin who is a model citizen untill you touch his stuff and piss him off.
Fuzzy Z: Retarded beast who wants everything for himself.
Mojo jojo: The former lab assistaint to utonium who was also effected by the chemical x blast which made him ironic. He also talked with speach that was hilarious.
Mojo Z: Still has the speach but is now a random monkey which takes away the hilarious irony.
Him: An effeminant devil with incredible evil powers.
Him Z: Some reterded clown thing.
And the worst change ever
Rowdyruff boys: three equivelant boys to the PPG who were stronger in terms of combat but always lost because the girls outsmarted them, which made the fightscenes like a funny gender war.
RRBZ: Uuuhgh...Three juvinial delinquents who pull pranks and cause general misery.

Seriously The RRB are my second favorite bad guy, the first always going to the unparalleled king of evil, Bowser, and they were also the most hilarious, why they had to change them I don't get. I hope the PPGZ stay out of america because It SUCKS!!!

I guess it just goes to show, never Customize twentieth century art. You may like it but no one else will because you RUINED A CLASSIC!!!

Z is only good at the end of Super Mario Bros.

Internet bandwagons. Irked

Just for once I would like to see an Internet bandwagon I could jump on, but apparently those are reserved for people without lives.

Internet bandwagon hit forums and completely screw them up. First one user changes his name, then another user joins in, and soon enough, every member of a forum is doing this terrible, Terrible thing. This kind of behavior should not be encouraged, or if it is, kept in the confines of one topic, and not become a forum wide phenomenon, so that us normal people can go on and live our lives without the annoying nerd popping up every five seconds to call himself a made up word.

Let me give you an example of this phenomenon. Have any of you heard of Touhou? Yes? OK. How many of you out there know what Touhou really is? None? Good, my readers have a life. This "Game" has hit the KRR forums like the black plague. It started when Dr. NK changed his name to Cirno, a level 2 boss from Touhou's "Scarlet Devil" game thing and a JOKE character. Then came Disaster, a forum staff member, changing his name to Suwako, then Mico to blah blah blah.

First of all, If you do something like this people like me are going to hate you for it. I will not complain about it in the forums because I am a relatively nice guy, I am mentioning it here because this is my site. Don't like it, leave. I hate how you nerds think that we normal people are stupid for not being able to recite every Japanese anime alphabetically. You judge I.Q. by how much someone knows about the world of the Internet, manga, and anime. Well I only heard of Naruto like a year ago, so by your standards, I'm a drool monkey. I would rather be stupid and have a life than be a genius shut-in who is thirty four and lives with his mum.

If I ever say the words I, want, Internet, and bandwagon in the same sentence again, call the hospital, I'm terminally ill.

gimmicks: Irked

Yeah yeah, I havent posted for 3 months. Truth is, if your purpose in life is reading my blog in hopes I will say something you will relate to, I don't know whether to be honored or disgusted. I post whenever the hell I feel like it so get off my back.

Now, Nintendo has made millions on games and, lets face it, what game for the wii (or any nintendo system) isnt gimmickey. a gimmick is something used by game companies to make their games stand out from everyone else. Lets face it, everybody is makeing gimmickey games because they print money.

My first example is guitar hero. Guitar hero is a huge gimmick playing on the unending want for popularity as you live out your false dream of being a rock god. First of all, you need to understand that i have nothing against Guitar hero personally, its rythm games in general. Why? Because I suck and find them pointless. but Guitar hero is better because I can actually bludgeon my opponent over the head when I lose because I have better things to do than mash buttons and play a strum bar in a pathetic attempt to re-create a guitar handling experience. Don't get me wrong, I give the game points for thinking of an origional idea like a game where you play the guitar, I just don't like it when i get completly humiliated because I can't beat "schools out" on easy. This also goes for Rockband, Boogie, DDR,and Samba de Amigo.

My next example is The Wii itself. Its a big gimmick (now don't get me wrong, I am a Nintendo fan to the end, (kirby for the win))but unlike most of the gimmicks out there its pulled of fairly well. Sure, Nintendo's main franchises attempt at the motion controles are no super steller sellers, (say that three times fast) But at least they are trying something new instead of re-gurgitating the old "press this button to do this" gameplay(and yeah I saw E3 but who gives a flying crapload, everybody sucked). I find it oddly satisfying to pick up an enemie in Wario Land Shake and shake the living daylights out of it. A change of pace for this parade of gimmicks was Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Now I know you are thinking "Cloudkirby, brawl was gimmickey to." Well let me stop you right now and say that you are an ignorant boob who deserves to be bludgeoned over the head with my Guitar hero controller. True, brawl had gimmicks, but what makes this different (and this makes the game different from others so you could consider it a gimmick as well) is that you can turn the gimmicks off in this game. You could adjust how gimmickey your game experience was, from super gimmickey, not gimmickey, and everywhere in between.

My final say on the subject, gimmicks arent bad, but only if they are used in the right way.
That and I hate any and all rythm games.

I have to go, my stubs are sore from typing.

mariokart wii.

Mariokart Wii is now available for wii consoles everywhere, and boy have I hopped on the Mariokart bandwagon. I am so glad they made this game. It is an excellent racer and a fun party game. Its no Brawl, but it gets the job done. In honor of this game, I will be doing a non-rant update. Instead , this little puff ball will go ahead and state facts about the game that I like.

First of all, I love the edition of the wii wheel (lack of thumbs). The wheel works well, and really makes you feel like you are in the drivers seat. While this takes some getting used to, once you do, it really packs a punch. seasoned Mariokart veterans, though, will want to reach for a Gamecube controller, which is what I use (you have got to imagine how I play). Just like Brawl, Mariokart Wii uses all four of the control styles, offering a lot of different ways to play, which, does not in any way accomplish the goal of bringing newcomers to do the Mariokart.

But one thing about this game is the single player (yeah, I lied above, this is a rant, mad level). Unlike Brawl, the single player seemed like a last minute tack on. and the difficulty is to the extremes. 50cc mode is to easy, 100cc mode is still to easy, 150cc is to difficult and rubber banding makes me swear like a sailor...in a fight...with turrets. Seriously, did Nintendo just put this on without thinking. Another thing, what is with the items in this game. sometimes the races are based purely on luck with items (though not so much like marioparty).

What saves this game, and makes up for this downfall Is the online play. This seems to be the main object of Mariokart. The online works FLAWLESSLY. I have to say. There is no lag whatsoever. online matchups are instant. and with regional and worldwide gameplay, It is so much more fun to school some looser in Japan, or Australia, or even in Brazil (don't play Canadians though. Their mounties may suck, but they kick ass big time in Mariokart). This online works so much better than Brawl's did. Besides, lets face it, Brawl is no fun unless you can talk smack to your opponent and gloat in there face when you murder their Ike with Wario.

So, all in all, Mariokart wii is an underrated game that is right up there with all other Mariokart titles in Nintendo's hall of fame.

Plus bikes! You have to play it with the bikes added. That just rocks.

Ahh.. April Fools day. The only holiday we use to cause pure pain and misery to those dumb enough to fall for all the jokes. I love this holoday. seeing some shmuck slip and fall on some banana peel or roler skates is my bread and butter.

April fools day on forums is just a lame excuse for people to get posts under their belt by posting random nonsense. This creates total randomness, distress, and even could confuse most people! Me? Dignity shmignity: Totally steamed!!!

This has got me Completly freaking STEAMED!!!!

You see this all the time, some kid is getting picked on by a bully. Now, I would usually be mad at the bully, but what made me do this post is the fact that some guy who is bigger than the bully, and could probably kick the crap out of the bully, offered this kid some help, and the kid REJECTED THE HELP! What the hell!

This brings up a question, why do most of the guys I see reject help. "Oh! It's for my dignity. I do not want to need help!" Listen you jerk, you are just an egotistical idiot, who wants nothing more than to SHOW OFF! KEEP THOSE EGO'S OF YOURS IN CHECK!

Several other problems arise from mens ego's and not wanting help. First of all, directions. What is with you men and your undying need to ignore directions. Like ignoring directions proves anything to your family. Well, yeah, it does. It proves your a full-of-yoursellf, poorly schooled, egotistical, stubborn moron. next problem, mechanics. When a car breaks down, DO NOT TRY TO FIX IT YOURSELF. When you do you are not only wasting your own valuable time, which you can't get back, but you waste the time of everyone in the car with you. And you wast the time of the people stuck in traffic behind you.

If someone offeres you help, Frigging take the help. And if someone offers to defend you, let him! "But you shouldent need other people to fight your battles for you." BULLCRAP! As far as I am concerned , If some guy is willing to fight my battles for me, by all means, be my guest. He takes the beating, and I get off scott free. And if you try to fight and lose, your dignity is gone anyways. So swallow your dignity, doubt your pride, ignore your ego, and accept any help you can get. After all, Its better that you end up embarrased for 3 days, then in a coma at the hospital for 3 weeks!

The pride thing only works in Manga and Anime, you daft, moronic wasts of space!

Brawl bashing: Mad

I have Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and have been playing it non-stop, explaining my lack of posting. I have to say that brawl is perfect. no flaws that I can find.

But you all came for a rant and I will give you a rant.

What is it with those inconsiderate jerks who will bash something, just because someone else likes it? "Oh, brawl sux lololololol & u suk b'caus u play it" Shut the hell up, you freaking b#$&!@d. This needs to stop.
And the part that really ticks me off, THEY HAVEN'T EVEN PLAYED THE GAME!!! Brawl is perfect. The greatest piece of fanservice EVER! Play it first. Then, when you have played it and don't like it, then you can do a proper bashing and tell me what you don't like about it.

Don't bash something because it's there!

This is just plain sad.
The people that are the subject of my rant for this post have degraded themselves over the years. Practically everyone has taken jabs at these people for purposes of comedy and it is my turn to take these people down because they have me seriously TICKED!

G4

We all know this network, and we also know that this network has gone in a steady decline in recent years. I will now list the things that are wrong with G4, and they all center around this one simple phrase.
"The network for all the things you care about."
1.Why does the G4 network insist on turning all of their show's about technology into Attack of the Show ripoff's. For instance, X-play. I used to love X-play. It was a great game review show that at the same time was funny. Now, however, it is a show that gives you gameing news, previews, facts, and cheat codes. The worst part, THEY RARELY DO ANY REVIEWS ANYMORE!!! Not to mention they are not as funny. they have become the videogame ripoff of Attack of the Show, WHICH I DON'T EVEN LIKE!
2.What is with the return of Aressted Developement. It got taken off of the air for a reason G4. It's boring. Oh sure there are like 2 people who still like the show. As for me, I watched an episode, DIDN'T LAUGH ONCE! The jokes were two bit and lame. I'm sorry, I just cannot say anything good about that show.

If G4 wants to become a good network again, then it needs to get rid of Aressted developement and separate X-play and Cheat into their own respective shows. Become the videogame network again and quit trying to please everyone.

Super Smash Bros. Aww...: Annoyed

Listen, we all know that Super Smash Bros. Brawl was delayed, but that is not what makes me angry. What makes me angry is that some people just cant LET GO! Seriously! This is not a big deal, and certainly should not be made into one. Sure, I was dissapointed as well, FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS! Then I gatherd myself and went on with my life. To all of you people on the internet who are complaining about Brawl being delayed, its coming out in less than a month, quit complaining. This delay only means we are getting a better version of the game. Would you rather have a good game come out late, or a game that comes out early that SUCKS! Think about that next time you are complaining. And for those importing the game from japan, show some restraint. If you really want brawl that badly, do what I do and go watch brawl videos on youtube. That should tide you over untill march 9th.

And for corn sake, STOP BLAMING SAKURAI!! It...is...not...his...fault!!!

So why is my blog called Totally Steamed? Well... there are certain things about the world that make me angry, and it mostly has to do with people being idiots! So I made this blog so that I can vent and possibly make the world a better place. And don't worry, I will not be makeing personal jabs at anyone.
